Shoes Contour Line drawing

Create a contour line drawing of a pile of shoes. Use detailed contour lines and NOT sketchy lines. The drawing will fill a 12"x18" paper in landscape orientation. The shoes should be drawn large enough so the drawing stretches across the whole paper, touching the left and right edges.

INKING
After completing the drawing, use a black fine point marker to trace over all your lines. Each line should use LINE VARIATION to create interest and depth. Every line should show variation, meaning a transition from thick to thin.

Blending Colors Abstract

Create a cubist style image through paint blending.

1. On an 11x17 paper draw a series of 15 or more overlaping shapes

2. As shapes overlap they create new shapes. Fill these shapes with blends of paint.

3. Using Tempera paint fill the entire paper with blends of color

4. Avoid blending complimentary colors that will neutralize each other (make brown).

5. Try your best to stay in your lines.

6. If necessary go over your lines with paint or marker.

3. Use of  the space provided. The project should be filled edge to edge with examples of organic and constructive line; both inside the letters and out.
